Our Cocktails and Conversation series is designed to showcase speakers relevant to our exhibitions and to the community. Join us for a special presentation by Diana Mashia, Founder & CEO of Invest in Her Art of Thursday, November 3 at 6 PM.
Diana will discuss the Power of Story and the role that narratives have in shaping identity, fandom, advocacy and positive social impact. She will help guide conversation around how we can better utilize stories and the arts to build awareness and advance women and non-binary people.
The presentation begins promptly at 6PM, so arrive early to experience the From the Pen to the Knife exhibition with complimentary access, and to purchase a drink or cocktail at our weekly Happy Hour. Seating is available.
The event is free, but advance registration is requested.
More About Diana
Diana Mashia is the Founder & CEO of Invest in Her Art, a discovery platform and marketplace uplifting the voices of women and non-binary artists. Through storytelling, education and advocacy, Invest and Her Art is creating a new fandom for these artists and increasing diversity, equity and inclusion across the fine art world and beyond.
Diana has spent her career at the intersection of art and tech. Her work is informed by her career in venture capital and on Wall Street, as well as her advocacy work and research on public policy issues and social enterprise. She holds a B.A. from Barnard College in art history and economics and a Master in Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she concentrated on issues related to management, policy, and sustainability. She resides in Westport where she juggles a fun and crazy life with her husband, kids and Goldendoodle.
