A Panel Discussion To Raise Awareness Of Human Rights Violations

Supporting Programming For When Caged Birds Sing, featuring the works of Ann Weiner. Thursday, December 2, 6 – 7 PM
Moderated by Ruth Mannes, MoCA Westport Executive Director

Join MoCA Westport for a special panel discussion, “Into The Light,” supporting our current When Caged Birds Sing exhibition. The panel is free of charge but advance registration is required.  Hear first-hand from those directly involved in the effort to raise awareness of, and have an impact on, human rights violations in our region.  The panel will include a Q&A from audience members. Come early to enjoy our weekly Happy Hour at Bar MoCA from 5 – 7 PM, and stay after the panel to view the 45-minute film associated with the exhibition.

Panelists Include:

  • Claudia King, State of CT’s HART (Human Anti-trafficking Response Team)
  • Cadence Pentheny, Coordinator, Community and Corporate Learning, LGBTQ+ Training Institute, Triangle Community Center
  • Jamie Rubin, Southwest Regional Manager, Connecticut Commission on Human Rights & Opportunities

Seating will follow social distancing guidelines. Attendees will be required to show an ID and provide 1) proof of a full vaccination, or 2) printed proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to entry, or 3) proof of a negative rapid test within 24 hours prior to entry.
