Are you a budding high school artist with a deep appreciation for history and a keen eye for artistic expression? MoCA Westport invites you to be part of our captivating exhibition, “Through the Lens of Icons: Revisiting the 1960s.” This exceptional opportunity empowers you to dive into the world of iconic figures, transformative moments, and enduring symbols from the dynamic 1960s era, and share your interpretations through the powerful mediums of photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, or video. Join us in capturing the spirit of this remarkable period through your artistry!

Here’s What You Need to Know:

Theme: Dive into the world of 1960s icons and consider how their perspectives shaped the era. Reflect on the influence of these figures on history, culture, and personal journeys. Channel your emotions and stories through your chosen artistic medium.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submit one artwork that explores the theme and must not contain inappropriate content.
  • Artworks may include photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, or video.
  • Artwork dimensions should not exceed 30 inches in height or width.
  • 2D artwork must be framed and ready for installation.
  • Remember to capture your artwork in diffused sunlight for the best image quality.
